国際学科 向後 秀明 教授（英語教育開発センター長）が共同監修した著書が出版されました。本書は，文部科学省の「小学校学習指導要領 外国語活動」，「中学校学習指導要領 外国語」及び「高等学校学習指導要領 外国語」の英訳版です。現在，日本の学校における英語教育は，日本人教員だけでなく，ALTや外部人材を始め，多くの指導者が関わっています。これら多様な指導者が学習指導要領を的確に理解し，同じベクトルを持って授業に臨むことができるように作成されたものです。

Japan is entering into a new phase of English education in 2020 starting from elementary school, and at the core of this change is the Course of Study. All school levels from elementary through to senior high school will be reformed significantly. This includes emphasizing students' ability to interact in English. Furthermore, in order to promote "proactive, interactive and deep learning," a diverse range of teachers including ALTs will be needed to educate the students. With the need to respond to the ever increasing globalization, I have high hopes that all teachers will be aligned in expanding English education in Japan.
